Jessica Treadaway
Jessica Treadaway is in her third year of university, working towards her goal of becoming a doctor. With another four years of study ahead, she is fully committed to her path in psychology, a field that allows her to combine academic rigor with her natural curiosity about the human mind.
What drives Jessica most is her personal connection to ADHD. Having seen the challenges and strengths of ADHD up close through her own family, she has developed a deep, lived understanding of what it means to support neurodivergent people. This personal insight fuels her determination to study psychology at the highest level, with the long-term ambition of working in a clinical and research setting where she can make a real difference.
Jessica is especially passionate about the complexities of the brain. She is fascinated by the way our neural pathways shape behaviour, memory, and emotional regulation, and she wants to bring that scientific knowledge into compassionate, practical support for people navigating mental health challenges.
Beyond her studies, Jessica is an advocate for open conversation around ADHD and mental health. She believes that sharing lived experience is just as important as research, and she often reflects on how personal stories can help others feel less alone.
With her combination of academic dedication, personal insight, and genuine care for others, Jessica represents the next generation of psychologists who will not only understand the brain but also honour the people behind the science.
Charity Work
In early 2024, Jessica co-founded The Bro Program, a charity raising money through runs and fundraisers to support people with anxiety. The project was set up to raise awareness, create better resources, and ultimately build a free therapy service, which is already in development.
